Refund Policy

BYRON OPTIMIST SOCCER CLUB - REFUND POLICY AGREEMENT

REFUND POLICY STATEMENT: (updated Jan 25th, 2021)

This refund policy applies to registration fees paid directly to Byron Optimist Soccer Club (BOSC) either online or in person.

An administrative fee of $30.00 will be charged on all approved refunds unless otherwise noted.

The final amount of any approved refund will be at BOSC’s discretion.

All refunds requests must be made in writing to admin@byronsoccer.ca by the individual who paid the fee(s). Please allow 4-6 weeks refunds to be processed.

BOSC is not responsible for any money paid directly to a team, team coach or team official and BOSC shall not entertain request for any such refunds.

BOSC is not responsible for any money raised or collected by teams through sponsorship or fundraising efforts and shall not entertain request for any such refunds.

 

YOUTH HOUSE LEAGUE REFUND POLICY:

There will be no refund/transfer of registration fees after December 31st for the current indoor season and after March 31st for the upcoming outdoor season.

Refunds requested prior to the above stated deadline will be processed, minus the Club’s administrative fee.

A paid registration fee shall be partially refunded (pro-rated) minus the Club’s administrative fee, if a player withdraws due to medical reasons within 15 days of injury occurrence. Medical documentation and BOSC Incident Report need to be provided at time of refund request. 

A paid registration fee shall be partially refunded (pro-rated) minus the Club’s administrative fee, if a player’s family is transferred to another city, province or country making the completion of the season unreasonable (proof of transfer required at time of request).

There will be no refund for a registration fee if a player is suspended or expelled from BOSC or from a league (EMDSL Recreational League as an example) under the Byron Soccer Club’s or respective league’s discipline policy or code of conduct rules.

COVID-19:

A full refund (no admin fee deducted) will be given if the season is not able to start to because of Provincial health regulation restrictions due to COVID-19.  A pro-rated refund will be given if the season is not able to be completed because of Provincial health regulation restrictions due to COVID-19.  No refund will be given due to any COVID-19 restrictions if the season is 80% or more completed.  Any fixed costs that the club is not able to recover (uniform expense or Ontario Soccer membership fees as examples) will be subtracted from the amount of any prorated refund.  The club will make all reasonable efforts to recover and return any fixed costs.

 

COMPETITIVE/DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM REFUND POLICY:

There will be no refund/transfer of registration fees from 15 days before the program start date for the respective seasons (Indoor / Outdoor).The cost of player uniforms and player processing shall be deducted from the refund request. The uniform shall be considered the property of the respective player with the cost being considered as part of the refund request.

There is no refund of the registration deposit, if applicable, ($150.00) if a player is selected/offered and accepts a place in the Competitive/Development Program and then at a later time decides to withdraw from the program.

Subsequent to accepting a place in the Competitive/Development Program through registration and completing the full payment process, there will be no refund at any point thereafter if a player or parent disagrees with the player’s Head Coach decisions or management of team, including player placement and Team’s Tier or League placement.

There will be no refund for a registration fee if a player is suspended or expelled from Ontario Soccer or BOSC under the respective discipline policies or code of conduct.

CAMPS & CLINICS REFUND POLICY:

There will be no refund/transfer of registration fees from 15 days before the program start date.

Please refer to camps/clinics website pages for program start date and refund/transfer deadlines.

Refunds requested prior to the above stated deadline will be processed, minus the Club’s administrative fee.

A paid registration fee shall be fully refunded in the event BOSC is unable to field a camp, clinic or provide a suitable program alternative. No administrative fee shall be withheld in this case.
